CPC Logistics Canada, a leading provider of CDL truck driver and warehouse personnel services, is looking for a qualified and experienced Fleet Safety Manager to join our team.
The Fleet Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our fleet operations in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and the U.S.
Job Details:
- Full time position
- Monday to Friday
- Report to Grimsby, ON office.
- Travel occasionally to fleet locations: Ontario, Saskatchewan, and U.S.
- May need some on-call duties and some weekend to support.
- Attend industry events and meetings.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, implement, and administer company’s safety programs.
- Review and update policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety and compliance operations.
- Guide and support management and drivers on safety guidelines and policies.
- Interview, qualify, train, and onboard AZ drivers.
- Responsible for Road Testing and administering the FMCSA drug and alcohol testing program.
- Monitor driver performance and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain Driver Qualification file management.
- Schedule and coordinate driver safety training sessions and meetings.
- Lead accident investigations thoroughly and maintain complete safety records and documentation.
- Responsible for oversight of driver personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety excellence and risk management within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in transportation and safety management.
- Personnel management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Highway Traffic Act and FMCSA Regulations.
- Thorough understanding of employment law and health and safety regulations.
- Proven record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
