Transportation Operations Manager | Mississauga, ON

CPC Logistics Canada a leader in transportation contract logistics services, has an opening for a Transportation Operations Manager to be based in our Mississauga, ON office.

Responsibilities include daily management of approximately 100-150 Class A & D drivers assigned to CPC’s customer based primarily in the GTA.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Managing daily operations to include assisting in scheduling, payroll, and HR functions
Interviewing, qualifying, and hiring commercial drivers and other personnel
Driver Qualification file management
Administer company safety program
Schedule and conduct driver safety meetings
Accident investigation
Administer driver training
Responsible for oversight of local office and admin personnel
Primary customer contact for multiple customers
Some travel overnight and some weekends

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of three years in transportation management
Personnel management experience
Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act and FMCSA Regulations
Thorough understanding of employment law and health and safety regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively
Good people skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
A four-year degree in related field preferred, but not required.
