During the week of April 2nd, 2012, seven drivers were brought to Nashville, TN to represent their Bridgestone distribution center as Driver of the Year. These drivers were chosen from the over 400 drivers that CPC supplies for Bridgestone. Each driver was selected based on their exemplary safety, customer service and driving abilities. They were nominated by the Transportation Department at each DC based on these abilities and accolades from the customers they deliver to on a daily basis. The drivers spent 4 days in Nashville, Bridgestone Headquarters, during which time they toured the Legendary Jack Daniels plant, lunch at Ms. Mary BoBo’s, the very place Jack Daniels himself would eat, which is owned and operated by his great-grand niece, a flight to Dublin, VA, to the Volvo truck factory where they saw Volvo trucks being made, a night in the Bridgestone suite at the Bridgestone Arena to watch the Nashville Predators hockey team play, then finished the week off with a tour of the Bridgestone Tire plant in Morrison, TN and ended with a dinner and awards ceremony. Each driver was extremely grateful to Bridgestone for everything that was done for them and each had a fantastic time.
